Anti-ice valves coatings

Zocca Coatings applies coatings on aerospace parts in particular applies Chromium carbide and Stellite coatings on anti-ice valves parts.

The anti-ice valve inhibits the forming of ice on the flying control surfaces and engine cowl. The application of our coatings allows the prevention of wear damage and gives a longer life cycle to the anti ice valve.

Tungsten and Chromium Carbide coatings are both Thermal Spray coatings. This is when a special gun is used which mixes gases, causing them to ionize and allowing the creation of a very high temperature flame, as high as 2000°C.

Materials are injected, and as they melt, they can be sprayed out of the gun as tiny liquid particles, then they are directed to the surface parts which will be coated evenly.
The application of tungsten and chromium carbide is done with thermal heat spray.

Excellent coverage and enhanced heat, corrosion, and wear and tear resistance are both provided by the thermal heat spray technique. Combining these two components gives outstanding wear protection by combining their greatest qualities.
It should be noted that Chromium Carbide is better at resisting wear and tear.
