Servo actuators coatings

Zocca is specialized in the application of Chromium carbide, Chromium oxide, Tungsten Carbide and Stellite coatings on actuators and servo actuators. The first three coatings can be classified under the Composites (Cer-Met) coatings.

Cer-met coatings are often created by being pressed between two sheets and heated.
This allows the molecules to bond and build strength. It then becomes an effective coating for:

  • Solar absorbers
  • Resistor manufacturer
  • Tools – specifically saw blades
  • Turbine blades
  • Electronics
  • Protective layer over public works or art

They are extremely durable and corrosion-resistant, making them a practical choice for many applications.

Tungsten carbide offers excellent levels of corrosion resistance, high temperature stability, chemical inertness, and strong electrical conductivity. High wear resistance and low friction are characteristics of coatings made of pure tungsten carbide or alloyed with cobalt or iron. Additionally, they have exceptional toughness at high temperatures.

Chromium oxide creates materials that are among the most durable and electrically inert (insoluble in acids, bases, and alkalis). A superior surface finish is ensured by the material’s durability, density, and resistance to damage.

Chormium carbide, applied with the high technique speed (HVOF), achieves extremely dense and hard coating. This coating is characterized by high resistance to cavitation, severe wear for abrasion, sliding and fretting also at high temperature.

Stellite is a metal and metal alloy coating with anti-wear properties. It is an extremely dense and compact metallic coating, with high adhesion values and cohesion. It has excellent resistance to wear combined with high resistance to corrosive environments, making this coating an important alternative to carbides in a variety of applications.
